Meet Andrew
Lots of little boys want to be astronauts when they grow up, but 6-year-old Andrew's goal is a bit more specific: He wants to be a mission specialist aboard the International Space Station.
"I would be based out of the Kennedy Space Center in Florida and study science about the ISS," says Andrew, a first grader at Greenmont Elementary in Wood County.
Andrew visited the Kennedy Space Center on a trip to Florida with his family, but that's not his only inspiration. Andrew's mother, Karen, earned a degree in aerospace engineering at the University of Florida. Andrew's father, Larry, also earned his degree there.
