Meet Rachel & Eli

Seven-year-old Rachel doesn't remember when she decided to be a veterinarian, but she does know what her favorite animal is: "My Shih Tzu. Her name is Sophi."

Ten-year-old Eli, Rachel's older brother, wants to be a businessman, like his dad. He's also interested in mine engineering. Either way, college is part of his future, too.

Their father, Michael, and mother, Heather, are clearly proud of their children. They've got a SMART529 account for both kids so they can help with their college expenses down the road.

Michael and Heather believe parents should start thinking about college for their children and both say they should start when the kids are young so they have more time to save.

Rachel and Eli may not have their futures figured out just yet, but they are certain that college is a part of the plan.

Bright futures begin with SMART savings.
