Meet Lyndzee

Lyndzee is an active and spunky 10 year-old from Straley Elementary School. And she knows exactly what she wants to do when she grows up – be a baker and chef and own her very own bakery. She’s off to a good start as she earned a cool $500 scholarship in the SMART529 When I Grow Up Essay Contest.
Lyndzee has already come up with the name of her bakery as well. She wants to open her shop called Bake My Day, in her home town of Princeton, West Virginia. “I started helping in the kitchen when I was about 7,” she said. “I like to cook and smell the aromas. Then you make something and it’s like ‘Whoa, I did that.’”
Lyndzee was riding in the car with her mom one day when the name Bake My Day popped into her head and helped clear her vision for the future.
If she's not helping in the kitchen, Lyndzee can be found participating in one of many activities — dancing, swimming, skating, basketball, singing, band, soccer and cheerleading.
Bright futures begin with SMART savings.
